The text you compare

Anything you paste into the two input panes stays in your browser. It is compared locally by a Web Worker and never sent to DiffBunker or to any third party. There is no server that receives it, no database that stores it, and no logging of it. Closing or reloading the tab discards it.

Analytics and third-party scripts

This site currently loads no analytics, no advertising scripts, no external fonts, and no third-party embeds of any kind. After the initial page load, the tool makes no network requests. If privacy-respecting, consent-based analytics is ever added, this policy will be updated first and it will not run before you agree to it.

Local storage

The only thing stored on your device is your light or dark theme preference, kept in your browser's localStorage so the site remembers it on your next visit. It never leaves your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Hosting

The site is served as static files by a content delivery network, which may keep standard, short-lived server access logs (IP address, request time, requested file) for security and abuse prevention. These logs cover only the delivery of the page files themselves and never contain any text you enter into the tool, because that text is never transmitted.

Changes

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change with it. Material changes to how data is handled will be noted on this page.
